The Municipality of Chelopech is located in the southern slopes of Balkan Mountains with total area of 44 390 decares. It consists of one populated area – the village of Chelopech with population of 1754 people.
The municipality aims to develop the ecosystem and to turn it into the FIRST Startup Village in Europe with focus on innovation, outsourcing, technology and business. Our vision is Chelopech to become a Gold mine for Startups, companies and businesses and to inspire the entrepreneurship amongst the locals.
Education and constant developing of the ecosystem
In order to boost the business ecosystem in Chelopech, we will maintain workshops, educational camps and meetings with experts to stimulate the local population to develop new skills and learn more about the business processes.

The village of Chelopech will have a modern POOL & SPA facility as well as eco complex with guest houses and hotels for visitors. The village already has a primary school, high school, sport playgrounds and walking area.
